This week I recorded a weight loss of two pounds. That brings my total to 41 pounds in 15 weeks. Since I started The 30-Day Shred on Wednesday, I’ll admit I expected to lose a little more, but I’m not complaining. I can definitely feel a difference in the way my clothes are fitting…even in the last few days.
I have been pretty sore this week, so I only walked on the treadmill twice at a much lower intensity than past weeks. This week I’d like to bump that up a little.
My eating plan went pretty well…especially considering the amount of temptation with which I was faced! We had special guests visiting for a few days, and I resisted a bunch of things including: coconut cream pie, macadamia nut white chocolate chip cookies, bacon, banana crumb muffins, homemade biscuits, and Blue Bell ice cream.
Also, we went out to eat one night to Mimi’s Cafe. I ordered a blackened chicken salad and low-fat muffin. I ate most of it and was able to stay well within my calorie count for the day. You know, it really is possible to eat out and lose weight. Due to popular demand, most restaurants now have healthy choices. However, sometimes you must ask for a special menu (like at Mimi’s). These menus usually list calories, fat, fiber, etc. There were even a couple of yummy-looking desserts on the diet menu that were quite reasonable.
My goal this week is just to keep truckin’. Exercise every day, stay on my eating plan, and not get discouraged if the scale numbers don’t come down as quickly as I’d hoped this month. At least I’m improving my overall health and endurance.

You are doing GREAT, and the fact that you were able to not give in to all those goodies you listed...that is a MAJOR win in my book!
