I’ll be glad when this 30-day thing is over. It seems to be taking FOREVER. Although I plan on keeping up my routine, I’ll limit my “fitness” posts to the Monday Milestones…once per week.
Anyway, I got up this morning and did 45 minutes on the treadmill, then Level 2 with Jillian. I’m starting to get a little too comfortable (and bored), so I’ll definitely try Level 3 tomorrow for the first time.
It’s amazing to look back at what I was able to do three weeks ago compared to now. I’m not breaking any records, mind you, but it’s nice to get through the workouts now without thinking I’m gonna die. (I might take this all back tomorrow.)
Grace has been so sweet while I’m exercising…she never fusses or tries to bother me. She just plays quietly in her room or on the piano. I’m trying not to feel guilty that I’m taking away 1 1/2 hours in the mornings that used to be more focused on her, but I also think it’s good for her to see me getting healthier. And often, she will join in the exercise video with me. When I’m done, I make a point to get on the floor and play with her for a while, thanking her for being patient while I was working out.

I do think it's good for her to see you working out, but it's also good for you to take a little bit of time in your day to take care of you. Think about how much better it makes you - because you can be more active with her the other hours of the day. :-)
